      Interview

Only got one interview in and they did not follow up after. They told me they'd be in touch and never were, I would have liked a response back either way.

      Buyer Interview

      Nov 29, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Pleasant Prairie, WI
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Uline (Pleasant Prairie, WI)

      Interview

Process from date of application to date of rejection letter from them was 5 months. Interview was easy because they asked more about my background history and about myself. I didn't receive any challenging behavioural based questions, which is the first. I wish they could have had a panel interview instead of me meeting with 9 different individuals about similar questions and going through my background each time. Why waste people's times and force Uline employees to sit and wait for the next rushed and unprepared interviewers to come in? 1. Applied, but did not hear from them until 4 months later. When asked why the long turnaround, the HR rep said they don't have a system to help keep track of resumes. I didn't know what that meant, but fine. 2. Did a virtual interview via Teams with one HR rep. The first question was asking which position I was interviewing for, which I would have assumed they'd know - I guess not. This interview was a screening to go through background, why you're looking for a new job, experience, start date, salary expectation. Overall, standard phone interview. 3. Received an invite for in person interview a couple weeks later, and had to take a few assessments before going in. One is a personality test, another is a customer service test, and the third was putting together a long paragraph into an easier format to read. 4. Prior to the in person interview, I had to take a couple of timed numbers test. In person interview was with 3 people. All were nice, but it seemed as if everyone was asking questions just by looking at my resume and trying to fill time. There was no actual list of questions that they had listed, and no space to put your answers down. 5. A couple weeks weeks later, I got an invitation for an in person interview - AGAIN. Prior to going, I had to do 3 skills assessments which consisted of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access. Interview was with 4 people. 6. In person interview was mixed feelings. Some interviewers kept looking outside for the next interviewers. One interviewer told me that they didn't have anymore questions but would wait with me in the room because HR schedules the interviews and they don't know when the next person would be coming in. Only one person had a notebook of questions ready to interview, and actually wrote down my answers. I appreciated him for that. The rest of the interviewers were either late, rushed, or didn't care to write down any of my responses. I didn't know if they cared about my experience or valued my time because of all the irrelevant questions such as where you live, how many siblings do you have, what do you like to do in your free time? I would have preferred more behaviour based questions related to the job.
