I was eager to interview once I received the invitation. I was fully prepared and did my research,also had a list of questions for the hiring manager for a role ADVERTISED at 80k-100k starting. Hiring manager (which spoke so low I had to squeeze my ear to the phone to hear her),mentions a 44k base salary,5 week training driving 1 hour and 10 minutes away from the listed territory (2:20 hr a day commute). I knew the base had to be low because she wasn't confident in sharing the salary. I simply explained that the posting was misleading and that made me question the integrity of the entire recruiting process. I quickly expressed that this wasn't for me and if the base was more reasonable especially for what the role entails, it would have worked however, shady practice during the interview lets me know all I need about the culture of this department in the organization.
