Interview
Online interview following initial call with a recruitment team and ongoing emails for availability. Casual conversation and good questions. This was done via Teams and involved some competency based questions.

Interview
Shocking in a word.
Applied for the role, and got a very positive response from the "Talent Recruiter" who was asking questions. Was happy to continue with the process as seemed like an interesting opportunity and if I had any further questions to ask.
Ask a few questions, no response. Send a couple of messages requesting an update, I wasn't sure if my CV had indeed been put forward, as even though the original message said it was going to, I had no confirmation. Was then completely ghosted by the recruiter.
Recieved an automated message saying I hadn't been selected for the interview.
Now I have no issues or problems not being selected, its the way of the word these days. However to be completely ghosted after the recruiter was super interested is just a terrible advertisement for the company.
If the recruitment process is how they operate their company then a bullet was dodged.
To be ghosted after such an initial response feels so wrong. Candidates deserve much better than this. There are humans on both sides of this conversation
