Pros:
The initial application process was straightforward.
Scheduling the interview was quick and efficient.
The company has a strong brand reputation.
Cons:
Lack of Rapport: For a Human Resources role, I expected a higher level of emotional intelligence and warmth. The interviewers appeared disengaged and did not make an effort to build a connection or make the candidate feel welcome.
Rushed Atmosphere: The entire interaction felt like a "check-the-box" exercise. There was very little time allotted for my questions, and the interviewers seemed eager to end the call as quickly as possible.
Culture Red Flag: The lack of courtesy during the interview process gave me pause regarding the internal culture. If the HR team is this impersonal with candidates, it raises concerns about how they treat employees.
Advice to Hiring Team:
Remember that an interview is a two-way street. Candidates are evaluating the company culture just as much as you are evaluating their skills. Taking a few minutes to build rapport goes a long way, especially for a People-focused role.
