I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Rentals (Dallas, TX) in Sep 2015
Interview
Intense, bold and enlightening. The process started with a phone interview with the HR rep/ recruiter. Having an internal reference is certainly a plus. Next interviewed with a DM for nearly 2 hrs. Then put through to the next level and met with RVP. Finally scheduled a panel interview with the region staff which was very intense but worth every minuet as I knew this is the organization I wanted to be a part of.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard question about your overall knowledge and business acumen. That is only part or the process, its really about you personally fitting into the family culture this company believes so strongly in. Be prepared, dress professional and be yourself. If it's meant to be you'll do well.
Very professional, easy going, and not a lot of deviation on questions that had no purpose. I appreciated this greatly and it made me feel like I mad the right choice on applying for the role.

Started with a phone interview. From there I met with the District Manager. After that I met with the Operations Excellence Manager to then finally met with another Director over the phone. It was a long process but thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Interview process is very through and multiple meetings between high level staff and the candidate in the local market. In depth questions including sales and P&L experience. High focus on company culture.
