I was prescreened by a recruiting coordinator who just typed in my answers. I was then contacted by the hiring manager for a phone interview. The interview was about 30 minutes long and consisted of basic questions regarding Instructional Design.. I sent a portolio of examples of courses I had created and was asked to participant in a peer interview. I interviewed weeks later with 2 individuals. The peer interview was scheduled but no one called at the designated time. Then when we did interview, it was about 15 minutes because someone had to leave for a meeting. I asked questions that seemed to go over the heads of the hiring manager and those individuals but overall, it was a great dialogue of information. Personally, I felt I would receive an offer.
No one seemed interested in my skills or experience.I had worked for plenty of Fortune 500 companies as a Consultant so I thought this was an easy in but it took them 5 more weeks to send me a TBNT email. It stated the job was no longer available. It was actually pretty cut and dry.
