I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Hartford, CT) in Nov 2015
Interview
I first met with one of their recruiters at my school's career fair. There I chatted with her, got asked some basic interview-type questions about myself, and gave the recruiter my resume. She urged me to put in a formal application through their system, which I did, and almost immediately got scheduled for an on-campus interview in the following week. The interview was fairly relaxed as I had met with the interviewer at the career fair, and she had gotten a pretty good sense of me. She asked some basic personality questions, and some basic technical networking questions (described below), and then said I'd be contacted either way. I left feeling very confident and relaxed. I was contacted by someone in their hiring department about a second round of interviews at their office in Hartford. I scheduled a time and went in along with ~10 other applicants. We were sat in a room and shown a presentation about the Technology Development Program (TDP) to which we were applying, given a Q/A opportunity with some "graduates" of the program as well as the program director, and then taken by our interviewers to various conference rooms to be interviewed. I was interviewed by two different sets of one longer-term employee and one current TDP employee each, the two interviews being back to back. Every interview was friendly, relaxed, and seemed really more of a frank and honest conversation getting to know me as a person and an employee than a "grilling" style interview. I really enjoyed the whole process and it made me feel very welcome.

Interview
The interview went well. After a week my application status was changed to "We have identified a potential opportunity for you". I have no idea what this means. Later, recruiter called saying all the positions were filled. Why was I even interviewed in the first place?

one-way video interview with 4 questions. Pre-recorded interview prep videos were helpful. The one-way video is a bit awkward. I would prefer an in-person or real-time zoom interview to be able to ask questions back to the interviewer. Overall, it was convenient as an initial interview.
