      Recruiter Interview

      Jan 30, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Unity (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Applied online, phone screen, 4x onsite loop, call with no offer Overall the interview process is easy and quick. I applied online and within the week I got an email asking for a time. It seems most candidates come from applications. The first screen was actually enjoyable and pleasant. However, the onsite interview loop was perplexing and overall it was bizarre and uncomfortable. All but, one interviewer was nice (he was physically in my space and face too much for comfort) and two of the four asked questions from a script. When I tried to understand further about the companies "diversity initiatives" or the potential hierarchy between sourcer and recruiter the response was contradictory and/or not well thought out beyond a buzzword. Overall, it was easy and I could tell after the first interview I was not a "culture" fit to their current team.

      Interview questions [3]

      Question 1

How would attract diverse talent? (Interviewer could not comment on why they look for diversity passed being a buzzword)
      1 Answer

      Question 2

I bring my sourcers everywhere but, let's say I'm sick how would you run a hiring manger meeting? Proceeds to say recruiter is the gatekeeper of talent to hiring manager
      1 Answer

      Question 3

One interviewer asked me nothing but, told me the values of the company were changing internally but, it was interesting that wasn't reflected externally

      Oct 4, 2024
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Unity in Sep 2024

      Interview

The interview process was extremely smooth. I've interviewed with Unity a few times in the past and their quality has been really consistent all across different teams. They ensure that the questions between panels don't overlap and the interviewers made sure that they read the notes from previous meetings as their questions tie in well with answers I have given prior. Something you don't see often! You get to see a lot of different personalities throught the process and it shows that they're passionate about their craft. As a recruiter myself, I was grately impressed by the execution, the timely feedback, and the professionalism :)

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Unity (Montreal, QC) in Mar 2022

      Interview

I spoke with a recruiter who had reached out through LinkedIn for a 30-45 minutes prescreen. It was truly a positive experience and I got to learn a lot about Unity. Unfortunately, I decided to not move forward in the next steps due to the contract length they were offering.
