I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at VIPKid (Oakland, TN) in Sep 2019
Interview
I provided basic information about education and experience. Then I taught a sample lesson. They gave feedback on my performance to help me improve. Then I taught a second lesson and was hired based on that performance. I then provided evidence such as diplomas and teaching licenses. I created a profile and video. Soon I was able to book students. Within a month, I had plenty of bookings.
Got hired as a British speaking then cancelled as not from America which I disclosed at the first interview which I think was silly and unprofessional at the time it was during covid when this happpened.
Very lenghthy interview process, but the interviewers were nice and helpful. There were several steps to the process and it was pretty involved. I had to prepare a lesson beforehand
It was easy an straightforward. 1 interview and 2 mock classes to pass. They offer a contract for a year with option to renew after 1st contract is over. Overall the process last for about 2 weeks from the time you apply unless you are waitlisted.
