I submitted my basic info and then a prerecorded 5 minute teaching demo. I was invited to book a mock class with a mock class mentor. I had a really good experience doing my mock class but I know other people found the mock class mentors to be picky and inconsistent. VIPKID has a pretty specific idea of how they want you to teach but you can find a lot of info and examples online.

What teaching experience or experience with kids do you have?
Then they just ask you to do your ten minute mock and afterwords you talk about what you think you did well and what you would do better next time.

Interview process was relatively fun and easy if you're comfortable doing part of a mock teaching lesson. They may do it differently now, but that's what I had to do when I interviewed.

The interview process was easy, the interviewer was pleasant and we shared a few laughs. Doing the demo lesson was easy, as the lesson contact is sent to you via email a few days before you interview - which gives you enough time to prepare.
