I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Malvern, PA) in Dec 2017
Interview
I applied online. I got a phone interview that lasted about an hour. Then I had an on campus interview. It consisted of 3 interviews. A behavioral, technical, and round table discussion. They got back to me pretty quickly about the decision?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard in Nov 2025
Interview
Phone interview that was conversational and had regular behavioral questions with some more technical questions (about risk/security) mixed in. They are kind of strict on time so did not get to ask many questions. Asked me for my salary range then proceed to tell me the baseline salary for the position which was not negotiable.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe role-based, policy-based, and attribute-based access controls.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Vanguard in Nov 2023
Interview
I did their online coding challenge (the same exam 3 times for 3 different roles, it didn't carry over). I got every question right and passed every test case but didn't move on. Clearly they don't respect their applicants' time
Had to take a coding test, then was given a standard phone screen. Received another phone interview before being invited to a "super day." Overall, the process was great, and the super day was structured well.
