I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Scottsdale, AZ) in Dec 2012
Interview
There was one phone interview and two in person interviews. The interview over the phone was pretty much the same as the one at the office in Scottsdale. There were a lot of situational type questions. What they called them were STAR questions. There was also a case study that they had us do. Basically we read the case and had to act it out. It was like a how would you handle this situation. The interview on their campus took about half a day. They did do a campus tour and a slide show for us.
Seamless process with very kind people. They made it easy to talk about my experience prior and answered all of my questions honestly. They went by fairly quickly but it felt more like a conversation than an interview.

I applied online. I interviewed at Vanguard (Malvern, PA)

Got a phone interview that lasted 20 minutes asking about your background and why you are interested in the company. Then they schedule for another with the hiring manager virtually.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard in Apr 2026
Interview
There are 2 rounds for interviews, one was over the phone and the other is on Microsoft Teams. The first interview was a lot of asking why I wanted to work for Vanguard, my experience, etc. I have not done the second interview yet.
