I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Vanguard
Interview
I interview for a TLP position back in 2008. From what I can tell the interview process has been more a evolution. When I did it was fairly straight forward, HR person would take your resume at the college fair. You would get picked and they will have a quick 1/2 hour - 1 hour interview where they judge if you fit the Vanguard culture. Vanguard believes a lot in process and team work so questions are generally the standard behavior ones - "What teams have you worked on?", "What were some challenges?". From there you a invited to a day event which are 3 parts - 1 part interview with managers which are a mix of technical and behavioral. 2nd part overview of vanguard and lastly a group discussion with HR.

Question 1
One of the managers asked me - "What is the difference in terms of efficiency for merge sort and quick sort?" and he followed that up with "Can you write me a sorting method on a piece of paper?"
I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Vanguard (Valley Forge, PA)
Interview
This was over 20 years ago. I don't really remember it and I am certain that it has changed significantly over the years and no longer resembles the process I went through. I was interviewed and was declined employment at the time. Then about 3 months later was offered a contract.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Vanguard (Wayne, PA) in Nov 2014
Interview
Interview went great, and the main question was can I document the projects. I responded "Yes"...and therefore, when I got to job I created a document tracking database to show my skills!
