I applied online. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (New York, NY) in May 2019
Interview
I was provided with 5 prerecorded questions starting with asking to describe yourself and up to explaining how to answer a couple example questions as you are tutoring a kid. You are asked to record your answers through audio and video camera on any device and submit.

Question 1
What prior experience do you have that will benefit you if you are chosen to be a tutor?
There was not one only exams that had to be passed to teach certain subjects. It is an AI test so it is set up like an interview. I really liked this process.

Question 1
If I fully understood the material I was teaching.
You are sent a link to an online video interview. They ask you about previous tutoring experience and the last question was asking you to do a mock-tutoring session. It's very awkward because you have to make up what you want to teach on the spot, but you get unlimited time to think of responses.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (University Park, MD) in Aug 2025
Interview
AI Interview, very easy. Asked very basic question's regarding experience, motivation, etc. I’m a freshman student in UMD and so I haven’t been to many job interviews, but this was genuinely easy.
