I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (Tucson, AZ) in Jun 2015
Interview
Online video submission and written responses. There was an option for a phone interview for the preliminary questioning and a later 1:1 video session. The interview process is remote in any case.

Question 1
What subjects are your strengths weaknesses?
Why do you want this job?
Do you have previous experience?
There was not one only exams that had to be passed to teach certain subjects. It is an AI test so it is set up like an interview. I really liked this process.

Question 1
If I fully understood the material I was teaching.
You are sent a link to an online video interview. They ask you about previous tutoring experience and the last question was asking you to do a mock-tutoring session. It's very awkward because you have to make up what you want to teach on the spot, but you get unlimited time to think of responses.

Interview
AI Interview, very easy. Asked very basic question's regarding experience, motivation, etc. I’m a freshman student in UMD and so I haven’t been to many job interviews, but this was genuinely easy.
