I applied online. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (Detroit, MI)
Interview
The interview was recorded online. You had two opportunities to record your response, and had to teach a lesson at the conclusion of the interview. The questions were fairly standard and you had a minute to prepare.

Question 1
I was asked to teach a lesson. My lessons are all technology based so unfortunately I could not use the tools I use regularly in my lessons as screen sharing was not available.
There was not one only exams that had to be passed to teach certain subjects. It is an AI test so it is set up like an interview. I really liked this process.

Question 1
If I fully understood the material I was teaching.
You are sent a link to an online video interview. They ask you about previous tutoring experience and the last question was asking you to do a mock-tutoring session. It's very awkward because you have to make up what you want to teach on the spot, but you get unlimited time to think of responses.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (University Park, MD) in Aug 2025
Interview
AI Interview, very easy. Asked very basic question's regarding experience, motivation, etc. I’m a freshman student in UMD and so I haven’t been to many job interviews, but this was genuinely easy.
