I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Veeam Software in Jul 2022
Interview
The process was very good. First I had a 30 minute talk with HR with standard questions like why I am on the job hunt. This was followed up with a 90 minute technical interview with three developers. There were some general questions like what good code is for you and a technical part. The technical part consists of questions about C# language features which sadly belong to the category „you know them or you don’t“. After the second interview already a decision was made. The whole process took less than three weeks.

Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter on Linkedin who asked me several screening questions. She then sent me a one-hour coding assessment that included ten .NET and data structure questions. I completed the test and informed her (did my research after the test, answered all of them correctly). She replied that the hiring manager was traveling and could not give me any feedback at the moment. A week later, she told me that the role might require US citizenship, even though she had already asked me about my status at the beginning and I had explained it in detail (permanent resident). I felt very disappointed and angry by her unprofessional behavior! It was a huge waste of time for me.
