I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Columbus, OH) in Jun 2014
Interview
At first I provided my application where the manager exchanged a few words with me and then provided an interview time. The first interview was wearing formal attire and it was one on one right outside the store. It was very relaxed. The second interview was with a group and everyone was wearing pink clothing to brand themselves to the store. The interviewer would ask a question and whoever had an answer would reply and that really allowed people to answer and talk as much as they wanted.
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
