I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret in Sep 2010
Interview
I had applied a month before I finally got a call and was scheduled a group interview with 2 managers and 2 other candidates. The managers were very nice and friendly and the interview initially went very smoothly. I had no previous experience in retail compared to the other girls, so when I was asked to take something out of my purse and "sell it to them" I was a caught a bit off guard. Otherwise they asked very simple questions three words describe myself, one word to describe VS as a company, questions about my job experience etc. One of the other girls and I were called back the next morning with job offers.

Question 1
Please take one item out of your purse and give a demonstration of how you would sell that item to us
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
