      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Vrbo

      Interview

Applied online and received an email regarding a phone screen. I was phone screened by a recruiter who was very nice and our conversation went very well. He invited me onsite where I had a 2 hour interview with various people. The interview was very challenging because questions were just coming back and forth. One lady was very strict and not welcoming at all. A high level manager ( department and name will be kept confidential) interviewed me and was not the most friendliest person. In fact, I could tell right away he did not like me because he asked me a very random question. Point and advice: I was not offered the position because they went with someone who had more experience in the focus of the internship. that is understandable, however, this is an internship TO GAIN experience! also, this should of been developed and realized during the initial phone screen. it was a waste of my time.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Vrbo

      Interview

I met a recruiter at a career fair, talked about past experience, then got a call back that they would like to schedule an on campus interview. I met one on one with an engineer from Homeaway, they asked some basic CS questions and then told me they would call in a few days if they wanted to move forward.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked basic OOP questions and a couple Data structures questions. For example, "Explain a use case where you would use a linked list instead of an array."
