      B2B Account Manager Interview

      Aug 19, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Boston, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA)

      Interview

Brief phone interview with a recruiter who was very personable and professional. Then I was invited into the Boston office for a 2 hour interview. After a brief tour from the recruiter I interviewed with 3 different managers. They were all nice but asked many of the same vague questions so it was a 2 hour interview that could've taken 30 minutes if it had been done as a panel interview. Things went well and I was told I'd hear back in 48 hours but it's been a week now. I don't care if I hear back at all now, how a company treats their candidates shows you how they treat their employees. "Ghosting" is for Tinder not professional interview processes.

      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA)

      Interview

I had an interview scheduled, the recruiter sent me daily reminders of date & time of the interview. The Wayfair Senior recruiter NEVER SHOWED UP for the interview. How rude to waste people’s time with ABSOLUTELY NO communication. Don’t waste your time preparing like I did. Additionally, this really represents what type of company they are and how they treat people.

      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair

      Interview

First, there was a phone interview where the recruiter asked a list of standard interview questions. It was followed by allowing me to ask questions. Several of my questions had to do with promotion opportunity and compensation. After working here for some time I came to realize that he lied regarding several of the key compensation and promotion opportunities. After speaking about this with a bunch of other people it became apparent that this was standard practice for him.
