I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wells Fargo in May 2010
Interview
I was laid-off for strategic business reasons due to the Wells Fargo and Wachovia merger. Wells Fargo considers laid-off employees for internal open positions for a certain grace period of time. You still have to go through the interviewing process as a qualifying candidate: Recruiter phone interview, 1-on-1 interview with hiring manager and if you are a good fit with the hiring manager, you are offered the job. Other qualifying candidates still working within Wells Fargo are also considered as well.
It was a positive experience. As with most large companies, Wells Fargo utilizes behavorial interview questions based on the criteria listed in the job description. You should utilize your work history's accomplishments in order to answer the questions. I was not offered the position, as one of the other candidates was already at the Executive Assistant level and had additional experience needed for the job, which I did not have.
Wells Fargo has a wonderful culture and the company care about their employees. They encourage their managers to recognize and award their employees for excellent work.

Question 1
If I ask your peers, what one thing would they say you need to improve upon?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Wells Fargo (New York, NY) in Nov 2024
Interview
Long interview process with multiple levels. Not anything new or interesting, just basic interviews. But the follow up was ridiculous. Got an offer, but was told there was a "freeze" and all positions must be approved. Then waited a month only to be told the position wasn't going to be filled after all. HR person was nice, but this is ridiculous!
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wells Fargo in Mar 2020
Interview
The process was seamless. Three rounds of interviews including the principal I would be supporting. Each round lasted less than an hour. I would recommend applying. There’s a lot of opportunities for growth.
I applied online. I interviewed at Wells Fargo in Jan 2020
Interview
The interview was set up with 2 individuals in recruiting. It was a scenario-based interview. One of the interviewees typed and took notes the entire time. I received positive feedback and was told I would be moved to the next round of interviews. I then got an email stating the role was changing and the next round would be in a couple of weeks, but I was definitely in the running for the position. I was then ghosted for a month and finally sent a message stating that a more qualified candidate was chosen for the position. I was not even given the next interview although I was told I was in the running. I am highly experienced and proficient with an amazing resume and set of outstanding references. I interviewed well according to the direct feedback. I can only assume some discriminatory practices are taking place that would not move me forward to the next round. So I would say this company is not diversity-friendly.
