The process involves Whirlpool hiring an outside recruiter that then hires another outside recruiter to troll LinkedIn and provide leads. The first recruiter will have you submit information and then the other recruiter will call you for an interview and then ask you to submit all of the information that you previously submitted again. THEN, a coordinator from inside Whirlpool will set up n interview with a person who may lead your area, at least temporarily. That person will spend an hour on the phone asking you questions about your background and use words like "pumped" and "A+team" to repeatedly describe the culture they are trying to build but not answering anything about the specific work you would be doing. They will also ask you specific examples you are most proud of, not have any of the portfolio information you provided to two recruiters and ask you to send it to them. Then, you will ask the coordinator for this person's email address and get nothing. You will ask the second recruiter and get a reply saying you can just submit everything to her. (I already did and she failed to give it to him, apparently!) I withdrew my application. It's ridiculous that I can't even send a thank you note or have direct contact with a person in charge of the hiring.
