I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Whiting-Turner in Feb 2014
Interview
The interview was very conversational. The interviewer asked mostly general questions about my experience and spent a lot of time talking about the details of the position. It seemed like the purpose of the interview was mostly for them to get an idea of your personality.
Multiple rounds in the same day. They take you to lunch and do a jobsite tour. Met with a bunch of different people and it was a really cool interactive experience.

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Whiting-Turner (New Haven, CT)
Interview
They mostly are interested on how you are as a person. In my experience, the focus a lot on getting to know what I have done (nothing technical). The interview was pretty long but it was nice that they explained a lot about the company, etc.
