I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wipro (Bengaluru) in Aug 2008
Interview
An aptitude written test followed by a technical written test. Followed by technical interview asking all about your work in College and the technical subjects. Questions on programming languages, sometimes of your choice. On clearing technical interview, an HR interview to follow. Joining letters dispatched after some time in case it was a campus interview. Post joining formalities are pretty organized.
