I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Wolters Kluwer (Kingston upon Thames, England) in Mar 2010
Interview
Initial communications were polite. Seemed well organised and present a very professional image.
The process involved a competency-based interview, delivered in a highly structured and rigid manner. Interviewers spent most of the time looking at forms they were filling in. I wanted to say, "Hey, why don't I fill in that form, then we can discuss my answers. It'll save us all time, and we can, you know, INTERACT."
Had short straightforward test and eventually was invited back for a second interview. The second time the interviewers were the head of the dept and an HR rep. The head of the dept was rude, short-tempered and rolled her eyes when I asked for clarification about a question she asked. Glad I was not offered a job there as the company seems to be extremely bureaucratic and stiff and the department head seemed like a terrible boss.
