Before the actual interview, I had to reschedule because something suddenly came up. I sent an e-mail to HR at least 3 days before the interview to discuss alternatives, but I did not receive any reply from their side. Therefore, the interview was not rescheduled and I had to move around a lot of things in order to be able to attend the interview.
In the interview, it was established that I would receive the test materials on a certain day at a certain time. That did not happen, the HR responsible did not actually send me the materials as agreed, I had to e-mail them about it and ask for them.
And last but not least, after I performed the test and sent back the results, in the e-mail I addressed HR I asked them a number of questions regarding the test itself because I had encountered some issues and wanted some clarifications.
The only e-mail I got back was 3-4 days later saying that they had moved on with a different candidate, without actually answering my questions or any other feedback regarding the interview/test.
Since communication is key in the recruitment process because it offers us a way to know more about the company, the role, the people who work there, the fact that in my personal experience this communication was one-sided and my questions were ignored speaks a lot.
I would like to believe this is an isolated incident but a piece of advice is to show more respect to the candidates and work on communication skills, improving this aspect so as not to disappoint more candidates in the future.
