I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Workday in Jun 2025
Interview
The interview process felt slow and disorganized, with multiple rounds that included a panel presentation. Communication from the recruitment team was inconsistent, and after investing significant time preparing for the final stage, there was little to no follow-up. As a candidate, you want to feel that the effort you put into interviewing is respected, but instead the experience came across as frustrating and uncoordinated.
Even while progressing through the stages, recruiter responses to questions were often delayed or missing entirely. The final presentation assignment felt unreasonable and poorly designed, leaving the impression that it was more of a free service than a fair assessment.
Overall, the lack of transparency and timely communication made the process disappointing. Clearer updates and more respect for candidates’ time would have made a meaningful difference. What was originally positioned as a fast-moving, exciting opportunity dragged out for months and ultimately felt like an unnecessary drain on time and energy.
Interviewing is a two-way process: candidates evaluate the company just as much as the company evaluates them. Unfortunately, my experience has shown me that Workday is not a place worth investing that energy. While their culture was once considered a strong selling point, my firsthand experience has discouraged me from pursuing future opportunities there. I believe there are other companies far more deserving of the time and effort to build your career in.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Workday (Pleasanton, CA)
Interview
The entire interview process was very fast paced. There was very good structure to assess overall quality of the candidates from product management skills, to managing conflicts and balancing priorities as well.
Basic process. Started with recruiter, then hiring manager, and a final round with multiple peers. Focus primarily on behavioral and VIBE questions. Everyone was very nice and engaging and looked like a great place to work, but wasn’t for me.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on our hiring process. At Workday, we believe we are unique in our transparency and genuine care for people. We're glad the experience was positive and you were able to meet some of our wonderful Workmates.
