I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Worldwide Clinical Trials (Austin, TX) in Feb 2016
Interview
Submitted a CV online & was contacted within a few days. The initial phone screen lasted 30 minutes. Went in for face to face interview a few days later; a relatively straightforward and enjoyable (me, the recruiter, hiring manager, team member) experience. I had a high opinion of the company at this point.
This company did not discuss the salary for this role during the phone screen or interview process. A few days after the interview, they offered me the position. At this time they named a figure that was a few thousand below average for this role and location. I did state that the salary seemed a little low asked if it was negotiable. The recruiter said that was a reasonable question and that she'd check for me. She did not say "yes" it was negotiable, or "no," it wasn't. In the meantime, we established one day for me to accept that offer, with a start date the following week. The recruiter later sent me the benefits package, which I reviewed and approved.
After some phone tag that same day and a couple of calls with the recruiter (saying that she was still checking on the salary question), I was the recipient of a voice mail from her late that day. Essentially the voice mail stated that due to my concerns about salary negotiation, they "got scared" and offered the position to someone else and it was subsequently accepted.
This turn of events changed my opinion of this company from a very positive experience to a very negative one. Not discussing the salary earlier on was certainly a red flag, but then to rescind the offer (within the time frame for acceptance) because a candidate inquired about salary negotiability is not good business practice under any circumstances. This almost unbelievable experience told me that this company does not value its employees, and therefore is a company that I would not want to work for.
Great interview process. The interviews were informative, conversational, and professional. There was a phone screen and two interviews. In each interview, spent a good amount of time going over the expectations for the role and my goal in the company. Over time, we talked about being a cultural fit etc. Overall, it was good experience!

How do you see this role fitting into your overall career trajectory?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Worldwide Clinical Trials (Belgrade, Central Serbia) in Feb 2022
Interview
The interview process went very smooth and professional. The hiring staff was highly responsive and informative. They chose someone else in the first round of interviews, but when another position opened, they looked me up again and then gave me another chance.
