an appointment set up by HR staff then a phone interview. The timing was a challenge though as it appeared the HR was only PT. Be prepared to respond faster than I did (four hours).

Background, how I worked on a team, how I worked best with management, where I wanted my career to go, pretty straight forward to start with, then questions on the industry. Know the company background and base level of executives. Company long-range plans, etc.

The interview consists of your basic interview questions asking for examples of situations you have had to deal with. Examples with clear outcomes is what you need to focus on. Nothing out of the normal.

Interview
Informal questions with two different days being interviewed. First part screening, second part primary interview. Most question were basic with a few specific questions related to the position. Met with manager and another team member at the company to discuss position and what you would be doing as a member of the team at Xcel Energy. Final decision came about a week after the second meeting.
