I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Xero
Interview
1. Coding challenge that you have about a week to complete. Array manipulation, type conversion, base conversion, simple algorithms, application of data structures. I found it slightly difficult. I would recommend researching how hash maps can be used in data structures.
2. Video interview, i.e. an interview where you respond to questions in a pre-recorded video format. Fairly non-technical.
3. Non-technical live interview via Zoom. Two interviewers, both friendly and accommodating. Plenty of time to think.
4. Technical live interview via Zoom. Similar to non-technical live interview. The main event is your walkthrough of a project you've worked on to the interviewers.
5. Researching a topic and presenting it to a group via Zoom. Topics are not incredibly complex and require no prior knowledge. No expectation to use academic sources. Short presentation. I would recommend a fairly simple structure (define the topic, form an opinion, forward outlook).
Stages 3-5 take place within a 3-hour period on one day.
