I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Xilinx (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2016
Interview
This position was founded by a recruiter and I accepted to apply. First I had a phone screen with some easy technical questions from the PM then they offered me to have an on site interview. I am very grateful for this even if then I chose another company. The team that interviewed me was really kind and they always try to be as clear as possible in their questions. The overall experience was extremely good.
1 technical phone call with a project manager
1 on site interview = 3 rounds of technical questions + 1 interview with the HR

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Xilinx in Feb 2016
Interview
It was 2 round of phone interviews, 4 people interviewed me. Mostly technical questions, no HR questions. Because for my PhD I'm working on the same problem so it was easy for me to answer all those questions.
