I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ZS Associates in Sep 2025
Interview
Two interview rounds
Technical
EBI
Technical Round (R1)
It was an on-campus drive. Initially, there were 3 online assessments — cognitive, communication, and technical. Around 20 people got shortlisted, and interviews for both DAA and BTSA roles were conducted simultaneously.
The process was really long — it started at 8:00 am, and my interview was scheduled at 6:30 pm. I ended up waiting in the TNP office for almost 10 hours straight.
In the technical round, I was asked a few SQL questions — not too deep, just average-level. Then we discussed my projects. In other panels, they grilled candidates on their projects, so make sure you’re well-prepared with everything on your resume. Every single point on the resume is checked thoroughly.
Pro tip: Don’t fake anything on your resume for this company. They cross-question a lot.
They also asked some scenario-based questions. The results were given quickly — within 5 to 10 minutes after the interview.
EBI Round (R2)
Even though this was supposed to be a behavioral interview, they again grilled me on projects and SQL. Later, they asked a few standard GFG-style puzzles and estimation questions.
In the end, 6 candidates were selected.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked a mix of SQL questions — things like using RANK() for ranking rows, combining HAVING with GROUP BY for filtering aggregates, and writing different types of JOIN queries. One question was about deleting duplicates using window functions like ROW_NUMBER().
They also threw in a few guesstimate and scenario-based questions. For example, I had to estimate the number of traffic lights in my city by breaking it down from population to intersections, and answer a scenario where I had to explain how I’d handle a situation where in my work I am seeing consistently a 20% loss in data storing or data collection .
OA -> Technical coding rounds -> Tech interview -> HR Round -> selected. The Tech Round was on medium level SQL and project related.
It went pretty smoothly, I was asked some guessimates and puzzles in the HR round.
