I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ZS Associates (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Oct 2014
Interview
After the preliminary online tests I had 3 rounds of interviews.
Round 1: Case Analysis
There was about 10 pages worth of statistics and data with questions calling for either a quantitative or qualitative answer based on the information. While it wasn't really difficult, you do need to be careful with the time you have. There was a sort of review session after that with an interviewer where I had to go through the entire case again with her. They aren't unfair and do give you the opportunity to correct or explore some of your answers. In those 30 minutes, man do you have to multi-task!
Round 2: Resume probe and puzzles
Once you clear the 1st round, you should probably start to prepare yourself mentally. A resume probe is pretty much what it sounds like. An interviewer with an unreadable face will go over your resume with you, ask you about stuff you had put in there and forgotten to remove when you last updated (even though I updated barely a week before).Almost forgot. Puzzles. Structured and Unstructured. Structured, well you probably know what those are. The usual quant questions and so on. The Unstructured ones are slightly trickier. Depending on what the interviewer is looking for, it may go either way. My interviewer was more interested in getting a reasonable, mathematically based answer once the preliminary assumptions, estimates and reasoning was out of the way.
Round 3: Fit interview
First off, getting to the final round does NOT mean you're a shoe in. Second, this is NOT some easy chat with a senior level ZS-ee where you talk about your feelings or find yourself blurting your deepest, darkest secret to a charming, sympathetic and warm human being.
Round 4: Final Simple HR Round with the principal of the company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
In the case study interview, questions will be asked from the case study you solved. At first, a case study is required to be solved for around 40 minutes, followed by an interview. They see your approach, than the exactness of your answer/numbers. But, more accuracy is always an added advantage. There may be a telephonic round as well, before moving to Job Fit round.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ZS Associates (Silchar) in Sep 2016
Interview
Interview process was easy. They were very friendly, asked few puzzles in starting then some questions from my favorite subjects and why analytics etc. Fifty percent of puzzle were from the net which i already did and few problems were new, they just want to test your IQ, if u answered 80% puzzles correctly then others things became very easy and there is 100% chance u r going to placed. Overall interview was very good and not any difficult question asked by them.
