On site meeting was excellent, nice and relaxed atmosphere. I waited for a month for the next interview with little to no communication from the talent specialist. Eventually this was followed by a video conference interview with a department lead again very relaxed and the interviewer asked great questions and was more of an informal conversation that really put you at ease.
This is where the easy going approach ended. After waiting yet another 2 weeks with little or no communication I had another video interview with the most senior person of the department. She was disinterested from the start and seemed unhappy with having to do an interview in the first place. Her first statement/question was " why do you want this job? Your are over qualified?" I was completely taken aback and felt very uncomfortable with this person from that point.
Eventually after another series of emails requesting some sort of feedback I was informed I was unsuccessful , which is fine I can accept the decision. But the feedback I was provided with didn't match up with what I had been told, the feedback was, I didn't have enough experience. But was asked why I wanted the job because I was over qualified? There is a free cookie for anyone who can figure that one out.
Local team were excellent friendly people who seem like a great team to work with. The final interviewer however was extremely unprofessional.
