I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Zendesk (San Francisco, CA) in May 2017
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn to see if I was interested. After a call in which I was aggressively asked my current salary package, I was invited for on site interview.
I interviewed with multiple team members. The overall experience was pleasant, though I never met the recruiter who I had been in contact with.
After a week or so, I contacted them for an update and was asked to make a presentation to which I agreed. The presentation itself did not follow what I had been asked to prepare for and ended abruptly. In all, a negative experience.
After a good week and a half of radio silence, I had effectively been ghosted. I reached out and was told everyone loved you but we've decided to move ahead with another candidate but we would love to keep in touch with you for the future.
many rounds of interviews for the so called cultural fit. their culture is definitely not a healthy one, promoting blame and incompetence.
they are totally in their own world, incompetent, unprofessional and wasting your time. they have no idea of running any programs, instead they pass biased judgements.
management is oblivious to the toxic culture brewing there. also they find suitable to say they hire people from psychology school to work in IT
