I came into the interview feeling upbeat and positive because I had done my due diligence on Zendesk's website and loved the You Tube videos and thought I was interviewing for a company which had great morale and friendly people (loved how Zendesk states "We don't hire d****"). My feeling coming out of the interview was a bit awkward as I felt the interviewers were trying to pigeon hole me by asking questions they assumed I might be able to answer based on my candidacy. I was never asked any particular questions about what I would bring to the plate or how I would be different vs. the average candidate. Instead, the interview sounded to me like the interviewers were expecting more out of me instead of simply allowing me to make my case for why I'd be a good candidate for the position.
