The interview process involves:
- HR interview (30 min screening call): This initial interview assesses your fit for the company culture and overall qualifications.
- Hiring manager interview (1 hour): This in-depth discussion focuses on your experience, motivations, and how you would align with the specific role and team.
- Tech interview: Here, you'll showcase your technical skills and problem-solving abilities relevant to the position. You may encounter coding challenges, answer system design questions, or discuss your past projects.
The interview was done a long time ago and the response I might give would no longer be applicable since the company has completely transformed since I was there. I did get hired though, so couldn't have been all bad.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Zendesk (Melbourne) in Sep 2015
Interview
An on-line application was responded to promptly by a recruiter. There was then 2 phone interviews (recruiting and technical) with a live coding test during the technical interview. This was followed up by a 'Data Challenge' in which I was given some data and asked to apply my machine learning skills to find 'something interesting' and produce some visualizations. This was followed by an on-site interview; 2 panel interviews, 2 1:1 interviews and a pair programming interview.
