I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zuora (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2019
Interview
Talked to a Zuora recruiter, then a Zuora sales recruiter, before talking to the hiring manager (RVP), then AVP and SVP of Sales.
Zuora is on the bleeding edge of subscription management, so the interview questions were sure to pinpoint whether someone could understand & evangelize the concept instead of just "selling software".
Thanks for your feedback, we're glad to hear you had a positive interview experience. We'd love to hear about your employee experience once you're on board as well. Welcome to the Z-team!

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Zuora in Jun 2021
Interview
Initially was reached out to by recruiter, we had a basic thirty minute phone screen. I was then passed to another recruiter who I would work with through the whole process who got me introduced to the RVP. Had a thirty minute more in depth screen with RVP, then a panel interview with a rep, CSM, and manager for SAs.
The panel interview began to dig into my sales process and how I would go about prospecting, as well as deals that embody teamwork and complexity. From there, I was interviewed by the AVP who really dug into my past and process.
After this, you give a mock sales pitch on Zuora to the RVP, AVP and people you did the panel interview with. A lot of research into Zuora and a specific target customer should go into this.
After this, I had a meeting with VP of Americas Sales. Very eccentric and interesting guy who really dug into my thought process and problem solving. After this, I was offered the job.
Definitely come prepared for these interviews, it is a complex solution and sales cycle and they want sharp people.

Question 1
What sales methodology have you used? What is a deal where you had to navigate a complex company landscape with a team to win? How did you do this?
I applied through other source. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Zuora (Sydney) in Dec 2018
Interview
The interview process started with the talent recruiter, head of APAC, SVP of sales and marketing and it was a very straightforward informal process. It was a pleasant experience and you feel in the whole process was more about getting to understand you and seeing the cultural fit rather than just experience, skills and qualification.

Question 1
I found it refreshing that senior management were also very keen to understand what things I like to do outside work and not just start with standard questions on experience, skills and qualifications.
