I applied for a Marketing Trainee role at snuggs where, as part of the application, candidates were required to submit both a video cover letter and a detailed case study. This took me two full days to prepare. After all that effort, I received a standard rejection from a no-reply email, which also stated that the company doesn’t provide feedback. So there was no way to even ask for clarification or learn from the process. Looking through Glassdoor, I realised I’m not alone — this is already the third review where applicants mention investing time in case studies without receiving any feedback. At this point, it starts to feel less like a genuine recruitment process and more like free idea sourcing under the guise of hiring. If you’re considering applying here, be aware that you may invest a lot of unpaid time and receive nothing in return — not even the courtesy of constructive feedback.
