Job Summary
Ci-Mech Engineering PR is looking for a highly skilled Civil Engineer – Designer to join our dynamic team. The role will require a minimum of 5 years experience. You will be responsible for managing the design and development focused on land development, utility coordination and stormwater management. This is a unique role designed for a professional who thrives in the intersection of civil infrastructure and mechanical system integration. You will be responsible for managing the design, development, and construction of diverse infrastructure projects, ensuring they are structurally sound, environmentally compliant, and completed within budget. This position requires a high-level blend of technical expertise in multi-platform CAD modeling and proactive hands-on site supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design & Modeling: Create detailed engineering designs, drawings, and 3D models for land development, site grading, utility design, roads, and stormwater management using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software.
• Calculations & Analysis: Perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and drainage design..
• Technical Reporting: Assist in preparing technical reports, project specifications, and design documentation.
• Permitting & Compliance: Assist with regulatory permitting, reviewing municipal codes, and ensuring designs meet local, state, and federal standards.
• Construction Support: Review shop drawings, assist with cost estimates, and perform occasional site visits to monitor compliance with design specifications.
• Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project requirements are met.
• Project Oversight: Act as the primary point of contact for contractors and stakeholders. Resolve "RFI" (Request for Information) queries during the construction phase to prevent delays.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Certification

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam,Revit, MicroStation, and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Technical Skills: Understanding of land development processes, grading, and drainage.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication (verbal and written), attention to detail, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving.
• Safety: Familiarity with OSHA safety standards for construction sites.

Technical Proficiency

• AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM workflows.
• Strong understanding of local and state building codes and zoning ordinances.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
