Attitude of Gratitude on Women’s Day at Littelfuse Legnago International Women’s Day, recognized each year on March 8, is an opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements — from politics and justice to sport and entertainment and to all women in all spheres across the globe. On this day, the Littelfuse Legnago teams brought flowers to their female colleagues to express gratitude for the efforts of women across all fields in shaping a more equal world. “International Women's Day is about a lot more than distributing flowers around the site,” said Andrea Polato, Plant Manager. “It's about recognizing the achievements and contributions of the women around us and ensuring that they are recognized and valued. Outdoor Team Building at Littelfuse Dongguan Last month, Littelfuse associates from the Engineering Team in Dongguan, China, gathered for an outdoor team building activity held in a beautiful park in Zhongshan City. At the event, associates played team-building games and went on a six kilometer hike where they helped each other get across some steep hills and difficult paths. “As a core value, Teamwork stands at the heart of everything we do at Littelfuse,” said Crystal Wang, HR Generalist. “Team building activities provide a great way to foster teamwork, it as it builds trust, mitigates conflict, encourages communication, and increases collaboration. Team Littelfuse Attends a Job Fair For Students in Chippenham, United Kingdom Recently, Team Littelfuse attended a job fair for students in Hardenhuish Secondary School in Chippenham, England. Fiona Lambert, engineering manager, and Phil Towsend, R&D engineer, spoke about what it means to work for a global manufacturer, provided Littelfuse product demos, and helped local students to contextualize learning by explaining how STEM knowledge is used in designing everyday products and engineering solutions. Our associates put on display a variety of power semiconductors and spoke about the electrification of cars and engines, the physics of the devices, and how electricity flows through them. More than 100 students aged 13 to 16 visited the Littelfuse stand. The students were very excited to learn more about Littelfuse products that control high currents and how they are used to run the national grid, trains, and wind turbines. ...Show more

Raising Breast Cancer Awareness in Piedras Negras, Mexico To commemorate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this October more than 800 Littelfuse associates in Piedras Negras, Mexico, took part in a virtual conference, “Myths and Realities about Breast Cancer” hosted by a professional oncologist. During the conference, the attendees learned how to spot early breast cancer symptoms and perform a potentially lifesaving self-examination. In addition, the female associates working at the plant on the day had the opportunity to get tested by professionals using professional mobile mammography equipment delivered to the site by local medical authorities. “According to the World Health Organization, as of the end of 2020, there were 7.8 million women alive who were diagnosed with breast cancer in the past five years, making it the world's most prevalent cancer,” said Manuel Lopez, Senior HR Manager. “The good news is, though, that with timely diagnosis the chances of a full recovery are increasingly high."...Show more
