Founded in 1983, SLEA Therapies was built on a simple but powerful belief: that empowering individuals through compassionate, personalized care can transform lives. What began as a small practice dedicated to helping families has grown into a trusted leader in therapy services — all while staying true to our people-first values.
In 2018, we took our mission one step further by becoming a 100% employee-owned company. Through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), every team member has a personal stake in our success. This isn’t just a benefit — it’s a reflection of our belief that when people feel valued, supported, and invested, they do their most meaningful work. At SLEA, ownership means pride, purpose, and the power to make a lasting difference.
Today, with offices across the greater Los Angeles area, our reach has grown — but our heart remains the same. We continue to serve families and communities with the same dedication, compassion, and integrity that have guided us from the start.
Our team of licensed and credentialed providers collaborates closely with families and service partners to support success in every setting. We’re committed to nurturing our employees through ongoing mentorship, professional growth opportunities, and a culture of care, ensuring that those who care for others are just as cared for themselves.
As we look to the future, we remain devoted to making a positive, lasting impact — not only in the lives of those we serve, but also within the SLEA family that makes it all possible.
Now partnering with Community Autism Services, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, our experts work closely with schools and parents to develop and implement Applied Behavior Analysis programs that help children with autism and other developmental delays lead happier, healthier, and more productive lives. Whether it’s consulting with school districts to improve services or working with children directly at our center in Portsmouth, NH, our programs are specifically designed to address each, individual child’s skill deficits across a wide range of developmental domains including language development, social skills, self-help, play and academic achievement.
