I have been working at Button full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - The People, the people, the people: hands-down what made me join without a doubt the company. From the first email for interview to the day-to-day job, people genuinely care about your happiness and the fact that your work is being valued. On top of this, everything is done from an HR standpoint to make it work: generous PTO policy, PATERNITY leave of 18 weeks (yes you read that well!) and other perks.

    - The product: not a simple one to explain and to sell (in my case) but a truly exciting one. This is not a fully baked solution but there is so much to learn on the way that it makes it exciting. The name won't open the doors to prospects but the compelling idea of the product and the capabilities will

    - The mission: some companies just bring another API to the world and call it a revolutionary/disruptive idea. Button's goal is much bigger than just another layer of tech. It is truly looking to change behaviors and eventually the future of how online publishers may generate revenue, shifting away from advertising

    Cons

    - Start-up, growing pains of not everything is fully done and perfectly packaged.
    - Learning curve in regards to product

    Advice to Management

What you have built so far is really impressive, a truly inclusive company and an A+ team to make it a rocketship!

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Button (New York, NY).

    Interview

Phone screen and onsite round. Some other miscellaneous things. Really great experience. Stephanie is the best recruiter I've worked with and all of the questions were very well thought out. On the whole I felt like they presented a lot of fair opportunities to put your best foot forward while challenging you.

    Interview Questions

    • I can't specify questions but a pretty standard battery of algorithmic, design, and pair programming.   Answer Question
