I have been working at CalFirst full-time (More than a year)
-Great hours to be able to have a life outside of work.
-The leads are already generated for you rather than having to find them yourself.
-Base salary is competitive for the industry.
-Open door communication with management (depending on which department you're in).
-Database has a lot of leads that are unqualified.
-Not much work place culture. Socializing is frowned upon. All business.
-No variety in your day to day duties. Each day is exactly the same.
Advice to Management
- To allow the atmosphere to be a little lighter and upbeat from time to time.
-Provide more training in regards to what could make account reps more successful on the phones.
-Give more incentives for smaller accomplishments rather than only the final commissions since there are so many steps from start to finish with a deal.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CalFirst (Irvine, CA) in August 2017.
Four parts: first met with the recruiter, then a person from the sales team that I would be assigned to, an in depth interview with a V.P. that has obviously worked there a long time and then about 2 minutes with the president.
