Dr. Kasi Howard, a clinical psychologist launched Innova Recovery, a center focused on providing specialized treatment of trauma. Her past experience of working in treatment centers focusing on eating disorders, allowed her to see how many times when people go to treatment for eating disorders, substance abuse, etc. clients focus on their primary diagnosis and are often encouraged to engage in their trauma work after discharge. She focused her attention to build a company that provided clients personalized treatment that focused on clients’ specific types of trauma. Dr. Howard and a small team of three clinicians began running a telehealth Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for trauma survivors. Innova Recovery quickly became a forerunner for telehealth IOP throughout Texas and the United States. Once Innova Recovery was operating and the community learned about the exemplary treatment that was being provided, Innova grew quickly to meet the demand. Today, Innova Recovery has over two dozen clinicians on staff that provide therapeutic services in person, online, groups, and IOP. After hearing many people ask for it, Innova Recovery decided in April 2020 to open Innova Grace, a residential treatment center focused solely on helping clients heal the trauma that has affected them throughout their life. Currently, Innova Recovery serves clients throughout the state of Texas with multiple locations, becoming a leading trauma treatment center in America.
