I have been working at Magic Software (Israel) full-time (More than 10 years)
Financially secure public software company with 1300 employees but each office is small and has a family business vibe.
The commission plans are fair, but the payouts for Q3/Q4 are partially delayed until Feb. 15 to account for full close of books. So December income is lowest of year.
Advice to Management
Rely less on Hebrew speaking executives and trust employees in the field more.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Magic Software (Israel) (Irvine, CA) in January 2013.
One interview from hiring manager. One validation interview with another manager. Offer made and accepted. Then interviewed with branch manager as a formality. The hiring manager knew me and had confiedence in my skills. The 2nd interview was with a VP and was more challenging. But we hit it off because he got the sense that I was a hands-on generalist and that was what they needed.
I caved and accepted their offer as is.
