  • Minimizing Contractor Default Risk

When construction projects go bad, costs overruns and delays can wreak havoc on what otherwise appear to be lucrative developments projects. Final construction costs frequently far exceed budgets for filed projects, and indirect costs such as additional interest, insurance, taxes, and fees only make things worse.

    Chief of Staff Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Torrance, CA
    Accepted Offer
    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Partner Engineering and Science (Torrance, CA) in March 2015.

    Interview

HR Manager was very inexperienced and not very professional. I was referred by an Agency. I met with the CEO who was interviewing me to replace someone else. CEO inadvertently let that individual find out. The HR Manager was not responsive, took a lot of time to set follow up interviews. Met other HR Recruiters and one other Executive. CEO personally gave me an offer letter but told me to ignore the title - that he would have to work with another Executive in easy the official tile in. He did not keep his word.

    Interview Questions

    • Basic. I was also asked about my Staff Agencies experience. I found the HR staff questions to be very general.   1 Answer

    Negotiation

Challenging. The CEO did not keep his word and the HR Staff was note properly informed of the negotiation details.
