Description Broadmoor Hotel is a luxury hotel resort located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The 700-room hotel surrounds a lake on 3,000 acres at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. It has nearly 20 restaurants and bars, three pools, a spa, some 185,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, and 25 retail stores. Its tennis and golf complexes are regularly ranked among the nation's best, with camps run by Hall-of-Fame member Dennis Ralston. The Broadmoor is also where President George W. Bush is said to have consumed his last drink, while wildly celebrating his 40th birthday at the hotel in 1986. The Broadmoor is owned by Oklahoma Publishing Company, publisher of the Daily Oklahoman newspaper.
