Grill Concepts operates a chain of more than 20 Daily Grill restaurants offering upscale casual dining in a setting reminiscent of a classic American grill during the 1930s and 1940s. Located primarily in California, the restaurants serve such fare as chicken pot pie, meatloaf, and cobbler, as well as steak, seafood, and pasta. In addition to its company-owned locations, Grill Concepts has a small number of licensed and managed units operating in shopping areas and hotels. The Daily Grill concept is based on the company's half dozen Grill on the Alley fine dining restaurants. CEO Robert Spivak co-founded the Daily Grill chain in 1984.
